Queen – We are the champions en Jesus ?

Wij worden kampioen ! Als kick-off zingen we vast met Queen mee: “we are the champions”. Overwinningen worden duur betaald lezen we in het lied. Zand in je ogen getrapt, vechten en worstelen, tot het gaatje gaan. Queen ziet zijn eigen strijd als onderdeel van de menselijke strijd.

De strijd van vallen en opstaan.

Queen zingt ook over een andere wereldkampioen die zijn strijd ziet als strijd voor alle mensen wereldwijd. In het lied Jesus zingt Queen niet alleen over de overwinnaars (de 3 rijke wijzen) maar ook over de losers, de gevallenen en slachtoffers, de bedelaars, de zieken.
